
Suzanne Pleshette, born January 31, 1937, died January 19, 2008, in the United States. She was an American film, television, theatre, and voice actress. Pleshette began her professional career in theatre and then she appeared in films during the latter half of the 1950s. She was later featured in a number of notable films, including Rome Adventure (1962), Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds (1963), or Spirited Away (192001). She later appeared in various television productions, often in guest roles, and was Emily Hartley on The Bob Newhart Show from 1972 to 1978, receiving several Emmy Award nominations for her work. Pleshette was the daughter of Geraldine (nee Kaplan),[1 and Eugene Pleshette, was born on the 31st of January 1937 in Brooklyn Heights. The parents of her were Jewish who were descendants of immigrants from Russia and Austria-Hungary.Her mother was a dancer and artist who performed on stage under the name Geraldine Rivers.
