Sheryl Underwood, an American television host, comedian and performer best known for hosting the popular daytime talk show The Talk. Born in Arkansas She was raised at Little Rock and Atwater. Sheryl has an extended family with a lot of problems. Sheryl was fostered by her sister Frankie. Frankie had suffered with her own illness called Polio. As a child, her relationships with her mother were rocky. Sheryl claims that her mom had a time when she stabbed her father for getting too close. Sheryl enlisted in the military upon her graduation from college. However, her interests lay in comedy. She was selected as the first woman to be a finalist in the Miller Lite Comedy Search, that was held in the year 1989. Her TV career in 1992, when she was a regular performer in the HBO comedy show Def Comedy Jam. The host was on TV for the 2000 season of Oh Drama! The show has also featured her as host on The Talk since 2011. She's appeared in fictitious series like Bulworth Nikki, Beauty Shop and others.
